Auction House to an Popular Art Auction Venue - Other Artists Follow in Mass Exodus - Cash Art Studio Discovers Their Art is Far More Value Than Previous Estimate - Works Could be worth 20,000 , 50,000 or 100,000.
Albuquerque, NM July 5, 2004 -- Cash Art Studio, run by American Artist Couple, Duane and Phet Cash has made the first of many moves of their original acrylic and oil paintings away from one of the largest online auction sites around. With over 70 items currently on their eBay store, Duane and Phet Cash have decided to begin the move of their auctions from their online auction store to another auction venue at http://www.artbyus.com. For a year now, the couple has been a successful art "force" on eBay, earning hundreds of exemplary feedbacks from satisfied customers and making the notion of "starving artist" a thing of the past with their diverse and prolific supply of original acrylic and oil paintings.
This relationship seemed perfect until changes were made to the search feature that laid victim to the "Going, Going, Gone" feature. The absence of the feature, made it necessary for many art sellers, including Cash Art Studio, to pay a high premium just to be seen adequately enough for good art sales from their listings. For a while things are okay at best, profits were better, however the payment of fees was much greater, causing many sellers to pay hundreds, and in the case of Cash Art Studio, even thousands a week in seller fees alone.
Then came the "non-registered buyers" of June 22 and June 30 where several newly registered users were somehow able to buy well over $400,000 worth of auction items, mostly art, from Cash Art Studio and many other great artists. This outraged many sellers who have had a great deal of frustration in dealing with lost listing fees and lost Feature Plus fees. Cash Art Studio was able to recover the fees, and continued to list in hopes that the search features that had been removed in April would soon return.
Only 2 days passed and another discovery was made by some very vigilant art sellers; that their listings were simply not showing up in the browse feature. Many other artists discovered the same issues and were at loss for what would be done to fix the issue. This situation has worsened and become the defining moment in the history of Cash Art Studio, signaling them that it was time to start migrating everything over to auctions hosted by artbyus.com and that the old venue was simply not functioning as it should.
Cash Art Studio discovered just days before through some communications with a framing and print company that had dealt with some now widely known artists whose success came from this same source and a bid of approval a largest art expert that many of the works by Duane Cash and Phet Cash have gallery values much higher than previously estimated and that it may not be long that many of these currently listed works will become unavailable at their current prices and many will experience a sudden increase in value once the details of this new relationship is established and the frame prints of Duane Cash and Phet Cash paintings become available. Although the details of this arrangements have not been finalized, Duane and Phet Cash realize that their paintings spoke for themselves when they were shown to the panel at meetings held last week between the interested party and a faithful buyer and Duane and Phet Cash painting owner who has taken the time to make the arrangement possible because he has had so much faith and belief in the value of the Duane and Phet Cash works of art.
Many cited that Cash Art Studio was selling their works for far too low and ranges of $20,000 to over $100,000 were mentioned easily. Of course these figures are even before any prints art released and the figure will change dramatically upward for the original works once the arrangement is complete.
But for now, to protect their works from "non-registered buyers" on their eBay store and the current funds that they are spending listing items that really are not being seen properly, Cash Art Studio has decided to help out other artists during their move to http://www.artbyus.com by channeling in much of their current traffic into the website for the benefit of artists as whole, and to promote the site while their original works are currently still available for purchase at their current low prices.
Cash Art Studio could easily increase the prices of the works to their actual values, but will refrain from this until an agreement is made and when they will simply not be able to offer them at that price anymore.
For Cash Art Studio, these past few weeks have had a bitter-sweet quality about them, but they felt that over the next week the move may be worthwhile in the long run.
Besides art, Duane Cash is the inventor and builder of the Duane Cash Cube Collection, consisting of 6 Rubik's puzzles including the Rubik's Triamese, Rubik's Fusion and Rubik's Fusion+ Cube as featured on the Rubikshop website at www.rubikshop.com under "collectibles" and as featured in an April 2004 article appearing in GAMES Magazine.
Duane Cash also found out recently, the his genealogy does go back to the late Johnny Cash as a relative and also to Former President James Polk, which he learned after some previously unknown relatives were finally found.
